About the School of Information Technology The School of Information Technology (SoIT) is a national leader in studying solutions and needs that connect people, information, and the technology of the time. The SoIT is home to Ohio's first Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Information Technology. Job Overview The Information Technology Analytics Center is seeking a diligent Postdoctoral Researcher to join a project team and curate and refine the content of a chatbot application that supports the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC). Leveraging expertise in information technology, criminal justice, or related disciplines, the successful candidate will collaborate with ODRC's stakeholders to ensure the success of the project. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills and experience in grant writing or seeking funds. They will be responsible for identifying potential funding sources, writing grant proposals, and managing grant applications. This aspect of the role will involve working closely with the project team to secure the necessary resources for the development and implementation of the chatbot application. The Postdoctoral Researcher will play a pivotal role in soliciting and analyzing user feedback to enhance the functionality and usability of our chatbot. Designing mechanisms for qualitative and quantitative feedback collection, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, will be a key responsibility. Through systematic evaluation, the Postdoctoral Researcher will identify areas for enhancement, ensuring alignment with user expectations.
