POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible to receive, stock, inventory and deliver supplies for all Tidelands Health facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receive and stock supplies and equipment shipped to the Distribution Center. Appropriate rotation of supplies. Keeps warehouse neat and orderly. Fill routine supply requisitions and distribute to designated areas. Stock all designated non-Hospital department inventories accurately. Facilitate all other system distribution requests to designated areas including medical equipment, dietary, IS, surplus, gift shop, Lab, and Pharmacy deliveries. Fill STAT supply and equipment requests and distribute to designated areas. Maintain Inventory Control of General Stores. Each employee is responsible for accurately recording every supply transaction, including verbal (call-ins) or walk-in orders, handwritten or on-line requisitions. Orders must be posted daily. Each is responsible to assist in cycle count procedures and physical inventories.

Obtain and retain DOT certification and hospital insurance credibility (includes maintaining a valid driver license). Must be able to operate, load and unload distribution vehicles appropriately. Perform basic maintenance checks (air in tires, fluid levels, etc). Take vehicle to shop for maintenance as assigned.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION : High school diploma

EXPERIENCE :

-Satisfactory references from present and/or previous employers

-Must have a demonstrated record of being able to perform manual labor

-Demonstrate ability to safely drive 24-foot box truck per CDL guidelines

-Must have

and maintain acceptable driving record as outlined by system driver policy

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION : Valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE : Warehouse or Distribution experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical Requirements: Medium-Heavy While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 35 to 50 pounds of force occasionally , and/or 15 to 25 pounds of force frequently , and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
