Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a District Installation Manager – Appliances. The candidate can work at our Kansas City, KS or Twin Cities, MN location. This position will be responsible for leading all installation work and projects for the region to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget in line with the margin expectations for the job with a focus on customer satisfaction. The DIM will lead a team of Install Managers, Installation Service Technicians and Installation Coordinators to complete appliance delivery and installation.

Position Details

  • Reports to the District Logistics Manager)

  • Will have 5-6 Install Managers and Install Coordination Team Manager/Supervisors as direct reports

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time throughout the D32 District

Responsibilities

  • Manages and mentor Installation Managers, Installation Techs and Coordinators

  • Ensures that Installation Technician team is fully productive to drive completion of all daily work and installation projects to meet or exceed company SOP

  • Runs and supervises improvement processes and tools for delivery and quality improvement, increased operating efficiency, increased customer satisfaction and cost reduction.

  • Coordinates with sales and technical teams as need for project delivery

  • Assists with monthly forecasts as required

  • Drives Installation and project profitability by reviewing POC jobs to ensure revenue and costs are aligned

  • Drives rollout and use of install technology to reach important metric goals

  • Assists with periodic inventory processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of years direct management / leadership experience in a big box operating environment, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment

  • 5+ years of hands-on project management for large projects

  • Ability to coordinate and connect with various vendors and external contacts

  • Excellent proactive communication skills with all levels of management and staff are imperative

  • Experience with activity-based performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean thinking with a track record of delivering outstanding operations and performance

  • Ability to collaborate with business leaders and peers across the organization to anticipate, identify, recommend, and implement creative operational and customer service solutions

  • Fair and consistent approach to associate communication and interaction

  • Strong customer service and collaborative style

Pay Range:

$7,949.70 - $17,325.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
