The individual in this position will lead the Holmes Center's efforts to serve as the hub for innovation and entrepreneurship across campus, with a specific emphasis on social entrepreneurship and cross-disciplinary engagement of other UMN colleges, faculty and students with HCE programs and SME academic offerings. Outreach efforts will target deans, department chairs and center directors in Carlson, Humphrey, Design, CLA, CSE and the Provost's Office, seeking to partner on related courses and programs. The position will lead graduate fellowship programs, undergraduate mentor programs and support SME's departmental efforts to promote and improve curriculum. This is a 75% (30 hour/week) position. The annual salary range prorated at 75% is $57,750-$63,750 depending on qualifications. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead development and execution of campus-wide social entrepreneurship and innovation programming, seeking to integrate and/or align multi-college efforts in social entrepreneurship and innovation to reduce redundancy and provide students with logical pathways for both educational and programmatic opportunities (25%) Lead outreach to relevant departments/colleges, community organizations, student organizations and volunteers, seeking to engage these audiences in existing and proposed HCE programs. This includes leadership for campus-wide activities organized in current Toaster space. (20%) Support the development of related recommendations for SME entrepreneurship curriculum and promote approved academic changes, specifically including entrepreneurship minor, possible social impact in business minor and potential new SME electives (10%) Lead Sands & DePodesta MBA Fellowship program execution for recruiting, selection, mentoring, events and alumni/sponsor engagement (5%) Lead development and implementation of new student engagement programs and events to increase participation and quality of educational experience (new undergraduate mentoring programs, serving as advisor to targeted student orgs, organizing campus-wide innovation and social entrepreneurship events, etc) (10%) Engage directly with benefactors and UMN partners supporting HCE managed programs, seeking to develop long-term relationships and ongoing funding (5%) Support other Holmes Center programs and events, as required The employer reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS plus at least 4 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight years. At least three years of experience in entrepreneurship and/or bringing an innovation to market Teaching and mentoring experience at the collegiate level Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail Self-starter with ability to set priorities based on program goals Proficiency in project planning/management Demonstrated ability to create and drive engagement in new programs Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in business Familiarity with lean startup, customer discovery, design thinking and other innovation frameworks Experience with Customer Relationship Management software such as SalesForce Experience with survey design, data analysis, program evaluation and/or outcome reporting Adept at collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Trello, etc. Participation in entrepreneurship programming as a student Interest and capacity to support HCE donor development efforts Benefits Working at the University At the University of Minnesota, you'll find a flexible work environment and supportive colleagues who are interested in lifelong learning.
