Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

This position reports directly to the Process Engineer and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below:

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the automation/continuous improvement team with projects which included and may not be limited to Allen Bradley PLC programming, Proface HMI programming, Fanuc Robot programming, etc.

  • Learn Pneumatic Systems and assist maintenance team with troubleshooting mechanical systema and machinery.

  • Assist with implementing Vision Systems and sensors to meet quality standards.

  • Debug and improve PLC ladder logics as well as polish HMI systems.

Who we are looking for

  • Strong experience with some form of programming (Metlab, Python, C3, etc.) and Mircrosoft common programs.

  • Knowledge of basic programming principles is necessary (Variable/conditional statements/loops/etc.)

  • Junior or senior level mechanical or automation engineering student.

  • Completed Mechatronics or PLC course is preferred.

  • Strong reasoning skills: being able to use systematic approach in problem solving.

  • Strong math & analytical Skills

  • Have a positive "Can do" attitude and be a self-starter.
