Dearing Compressor Information Technology Administrator in Youngstown, Ohio

JOb Summary:

This position is responsible for support of the information technology goals of the company. The IT admin should be knowledgeable in software, hardware, computer networks and security, and be a problem-solver with attention to detail. This position’s primary activities include maintaining the company’s IT security posture, maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, and providing technical assistance to all users as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain the company’s network security solutions including but not limited to firewalls, endpoint security, email security, syslog servers, and MFA

  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret security/system logs for events, operational irregularities, and potential incidents and escalating issues as appropriate

  • Provide support to remediate vulnerabilities such as patching, implementing controls to mitigate risk, and ensuring secure configuration of systems

  • Analyze suspicious emails, and other potential security incidents to determine false positives or needs for escalation

  • Maintain the company’s on-premise datacenter and IT infrastructure, which includes but is not limited to, Windows and Linux servers both physical and virtual, switch and routing systems, ethernet, fiber, wireless access points, and IP security cameras

  • NetSuite ERP and Microsoft Azure/Office365.

  • Maintain the company’s end user devices including but not limited to desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, IP phones, and cell phones.

  • Maintain the company’s information systems documentation

  • Maintain the company’s backup and disaster recovery infrastructure.

  • Promote the use of technology to improve business process efficiency.

  • Provide technical support or training for systems and networks.

  • Provide help desk services to support end user’s needs.

  • Escalate problems, when required, to the IT Coordinator

  • Perform other as needed projects or tasks as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or information science, or related field

  • Preferred IT certifications such as  Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching, CompTIA Security+/CySA+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate 

  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012-2019, Windows Active Directory including DHCP, DNS and Group Policy, Microsoft Azure/Microsoft 365, Ubuntu Server, and PowerShell or Python

  • Understand cyber security concepts and principles 

  • Understand TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration

  • Ability to provide excellent communication and customer service skills to internal and external customers
